TalentQuote Content Engine and Editorial Playbook v0.3

Status: Working Draft
Version: 0.3
Owner: Marketing / Growth
Purpose: Define how TalentQuote creates, repurposes, distributes, and governs content.

Document Purpose

This document defines the TalentQuote content operating system.

It does not define:

  • Company strategy
  • Positioning
  • Revenue model
  • Sales process
  • Outreach process

Those are governed elsewhere.

This document answers one question:

How does TalentQuote systematically create, repurpose, distribute, and govern content?

This document governs future content assets, the Content Library, and future Content Calendars.

It does not store individual posts or define a calendar.

Content Mission

Generate:

Awareness ↓ Trust ↓ Website Visits ↓ Registrations ↓ Discovery Calls ↓ Talent Activations

Content exists to support revenue generation.

Content is not created for vanity metrics.

Content Architecture

TalentQuote content should move from approved strategic narrative into operational assets that create qualified product entry.

Flow:

Strategic Narrative ↓ Content Pillar ↓ Content Theme ↓ Content Asset ↓ Distribution ↓ Registration ↓ Activation

Strategic Narrative

The approved TalentQuote story, governed by the Strategic Pyramid, Master Summary, Positioning Framework, Canon, Website Copy Guide, and Revenue Engine.

Content Pillar

The durable editorial category used to organize recurring content.

Content Theme

The specific angle inside a pillar that gives a post, video, carousel, or email asset a clear point of view.

Content Asset

The actual content unit created from a theme, such as a founder post, video, carousel, product education post, or company post.

Distribution

The channel-specific publishing and repurposing path that turns one asset into multiple useful touchpoints.

Registration

The primary commercial movement content should support when the audience is ready to enter the product experience.

Activation

The downstream outcome content should support indirectly by creating trust, clarity, and qualified movement toward Talent Activation.

Content Principles

Principle 1

Content must support demand generation.

Every asset should contribute to:

  • Visibility
  • Trust
  • Website traffic
  • Registrations
  • Activations

Principle 2

Content should educate before it sells.

The objective is to help prospects understand:

  • Hiring latency
  • Engineering capacity
  • Startup execution
  • Talent activation

Principle 3

Content should be reusable.

One asset should generate multiple downstream assets.

Principle 4

Content should support outbound.

Outbound should amplify content.

Neither channel should operate independently.

Principle 5

Revenue matters more than engagement.

A post with:

50 views 1 registration

creates more value than:

10,000 views 0 registrations

Content Distribution Model

Every content asset should be repurposed.

Example:

Video ↓ Founder Post ↓ Carousel ↓ Company Post ↓ Email Asset ↓ Outbound Support Asset

Goal:

Maximum leverage from every content investment.

Distribution Logic

A single source asset should create multiple downstream assets before a new idea is produced.

Video

Use video to introduce the core idea in a human, founder-led, or product-led format.

Founder Post

Translate the video or core idea into a concise LinkedIn post from Hugo’s point of view.

Turn the same idea into a structured visual explanation for educational distribution.

Company Post

Publish a cleaner brand version from the TalentQuote company page.

Email Asset

Convert the strongest angle into a short email or newsletter-style asset when useful.

Outbound Support Asset

Use the clearest version as a follow-up asset for warm prospects, without turning it into an outreach sequence.

Asset Lifecycle

Content should not restart from zero each week.

Lifecycle:

Idea ↓ Creation ↓ Publication ↓ Repurposing ↓ Reuse ↓ Archive

Idea

Capture an approved theme or market observation connected to a content pillar.

Creation

Create the first usable asset, usually a video, founder post, carousel, or product education post.

Publication

Publish through the appropriate founder, company, or product channel.

Repurposing

Turn the asset into smaller or alternate formats for other channels.

Reuse

Reuse strong assets in outbound support, website snippets, sales follow-up, or future campaigns.

Archive

Archive assets that are outdated, underperforming, off-positioning, or no longer aligned with the product.

Content Ownership

Ownership defines who is responsible for creation, distribution, amplification, and publishing. It does not define a full approval workflow.

OwnerResponsibility
HugoFounder content, founder perspective, thesis-led posts, founder videos, strategic narrative fidelity.
VictoriaDistribution support, post coordination, asset organization, light repurposing, and operational follow-through.
DouglasCommercial amplification, high-value sharing, strategic account support, and signal feedback from prospects.
José LuisContent planning, editorial coordination, content creation management, Content Library maintenance, and calendar coordination.
StevenVideo editing, creative production, visual assets, carousel production, short-form content adaptation, and multimedia support.
TalentQuoteCompany page publishing, product education posts, brand-level content, and Content Library organization.

Content Approval Flow

Keep approval lightweight. This flow exists to protect strategic alignment without creating a complex workflow system.

Flow:

Strategic Narrative ↓ Asset Draft ↓ Editorial Review ↓ Publish ↓ Repurpose

Strategic Narrative

Confirm the asset is grounded in approved TalentQuote positioning, language, and content pillars.

Asset Draft

Create the first usable version of the asset.

Editorial Review

Check clarity, tone, strategic alignment, CTA fit, and reuse potential.

Publish

Publish through the appropriate founder, company, or product channel.

Repurpose

Convert the asset into approved downstream formats after the core version is aligned.

Content System Structure

TalentQuote content operations should use a simple document hierarchy.

Flow:

Content Engine and Editorial Playbook ↓ Content Library ↓ 90-Day Content Calendar ↓ Execution

Content Engine

Defines rules.

Content Library

Stores approved content assets.

Content Calendar

Schedules assets.

Execution

Creates and publishes content.

Relationship to Content Library

This document governs the TalentQuote Content Library.

The Content Library stores:

  • Posts
  • Carousels
  • Videos
  • Founder Stories
  • Product Education Assets
  • Future Backlog Ideas

This playbook defines how those assets should be created, repurposed, distributed, and governed.

The Content Library should not redefine positioning, revenue strategy, CTA strategy, or editorial principles.

Approved Launch Assets

The following assets are approved foundational content:

Status:

Recorded and approved launch assets.

Video 01

Hiring Takes Months. Execution Can’t Wait.

Video 02

You Don’t Need a 60-Day Hiring Cycle.

Video 03

The Opportunity Cost of Waiting.

Video 04

They Didn’t Lose the Candidate. They Lost the Window.

These assets serve as the foundation for the initial content library.

CTA Framework

Awareness Content

CTA:

Optional

or

Soft CTA

Educational Content

CTA:

Start Exploring Talent

Product Content

CTA:

Start Exploring Talent

High Intent Content

CTA:

Book a Discovery Call

Publishing Cadence

Founder Account

3–5 posts per week

1–2 videos per week

Company Account

2–3 posts per week

Content Goal

Consistency is more important than volume.

Content Quality Rules

Always reinforce:

  • Engineering Capacity
  • Activation
  • Speed
  • Availability
  • Startup Execution

Avoid:

  • Recruiting language
  • Staffing language
  • Outsourcing language

Do not position TalentQuote as:

  • A recruiting agency
  • A staffing agency
  • An outsourcing company
  • A freelancer marketplace
  • A resume database

Every asset should pass these checks:

  • Does it support the idea of Engineering Capacity?
  • Does it make availability, activation, or speed clearer?
  • Does it avoid making TalentQuote sound like recruiting or staffing?
  • Does it connect content activity to qualified product entry when appropriate?
  • Can it be reused or repurposed?

Content KPI Hierarchy

Content Views

Engagement

Profile Visits

Website Visits

Registrations

Discovery Calls

Interview Requests

Talent Activations

Higher-funnel metrics are useful because they show reach and learning.

Lower-funnel metrics are more important because they show qualified movement toward registration, discovery, interview requests, and Talent Activation.

Interview Requests are an important commercial signal between Discovery Calls and Talent Activations.

Use content metrics to decide what to reuse, repurpose, improve, or archive. Do not turn this section into a revenue dashboard.

Documents Governed

This document governs:

  1. TalentQuote Content Library
  2. TalentQuote 90-Day Content Calendar
  3. Founder Content Planning
  4. Company Content Planning
  5. Future Content Reporting

It does not include:

  • Content calendar
  • Post library
  • Individual posts
  • Outreach sequences
  • Apollo workflows
  • Sales Navigator workflows
  • Marketing automation
  • Revenue dashboards

Those belong in child documents.

Final Principle

TalentQuote content should help software teams understand one idea:

The fastest way to increase engineering capacity is not always to hire.
